Description
The national curriculum of all countries sets heavy subjects and standards with long hours of classes for nine months! Despite the variety of active learning strategies available, teachers often struggle to keep all students engaged, leading to disengagement and boredom.
In today’s rapidly changing and demanding educational landscape, prioritizing the well-being of teachers and students is essential. Research underscores the profound connection between mental and emotional well-being and improved learning outcomes, resilience, and personal development.
Grounded in Aristotle’s concept of eudaimonia – the pursuit of a meaningful, flourishing life – this course integrates ancient wisdom with modern wellbeing theories, such as Positive Psychology.
Participants will explore how a happy and flexible classroom environment fosters engagement, how team-building activities connect teachers and students, and how routines create a sustainable, positive culture in schools.
The course includes 12 interactive games to kick-start classes, fostering connections and emphasizing the value of short games and icebreakers. Through practical activities, teachers will gain insights into cultivating a growth mindset and establishing routines that lead to joyful days. Alongside this, they’ll practice the 4Cs of education – critical skills for success in school and beyond.
By the course’s end, participants will have an array of mix-and-match tools to transform their lesson plans into happy lesson plans.
