Description

Teaching adults requires a completely different approach from teaching children or teenagers, and that is one of the many reasons why managing Adult Education organizations represents an ongoing challenge for both leaders and staff.

In fact, adult learners bring with them prior knowledge, life experience, and specific expectations into the classroom. Yet, many teachers and trainers enter Adult Education without formal preparation, discovering that traditional teaching methods are often not enough to meet mature learners’ needs.

This course is designed for professionals who want to strengthen both their classroom practice and their strategic planning competencies in this field.

It offers a complete, practice-oriented, and accessible journey through the world of Adult Education. Step by step, participants will navigate through the fundamentals of its quality areas, from understanding its principles and basic practices to developing high-quality and effective educational programs tailored to their specific educational environment.

During the first part of the course, participants will explore the core principles of Adult Education and the main differences between adult and younger learners.

Using methods such as role-based tasks, collaborative projects, scenario-based learning, and goal-oriented strategies, they will practice designing learner-centered lessons designed to build on adults’ existing experience.

Thanks to realistic simulations and group work, they will also learn to act as facilitators, managing effectively group dynamics, fostering student-centered learning, and applying feedback and appropriate evaluation tools.

In the second part, instead, the course will offer a deeper insight, focusing on raising institutional quality and excellence in Adult Education.

Here, participants will explore in detail how to implement strategic planning methods, creating transparent and ethical communication systems within their organizations.

They will discover how to integrate assessment and data into long-term improvements in plants, stepping beyond the “classical surveys” and connecting quantitative and qualitative feedback.

By the end of the course, participants will have successfully acquired both the educational foundations and the strategic competencies to build and sustain quality standards in their institutions.

Having completed this comprehensive overview, they will leave with a clear, adaptable framework to design, manage, and improve Adult Education practices, from the very basics to a more advanced level.
