Are you a school staff member who wants to start learning English for work or daily life? This course is for you!
This course is for administrative staff and other professionals working in language schools and educational contexts who wish to undertake administrative tasks in English, either speaking and/or writing.
The main goal of the course is to help participants understand and use English to share information clearly and politely. They will learn words and phrases for everyday office tasks, and for talking with parents, students, and other colleagues.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to get into small conversations, such as greetings, talking about office tasks, and describing their job, and carry out simple tasks in English.
Speak, understand, read, and write in English with more confidence
Learn useful vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation
Communicate better with visitors, staff, parents, and students
Do school office tasks in English more easily.

Day 1 – Introduction to the course
Introduction to the course, the school, and the external week activities;

Presentations of the participants’ schools;
Identification of needs and goals for each participant.
Learn useful phrases: “How can I help you?”, “Please take a seat”
Day 2 – Grammar and vocabulary for work
Learn basic grammar and new words;
Describe your job and daily tasks;
Practice short conversations.
Day 3 – Speaking and listening
Practice listening and speaking;
Answer the phone and take simple messages;
Role-play telephone conversations.
Day 4 – Reading
Read and understand short text and notes;
Conversation practice.
Day 5 – Messages and community
Give and understand short messages;
Find useful resources to keep learning English;
Final conversation practice and feedback.
Day 6 – Course closure and cultural activities
Course evaluation: round-up of acquired competencies, feedback, and discussion;
Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance;
Excursion and other external cultural activities.
Please note: In the event that a course is confirmed but a limited number of participants enroll, and a concurrent English course for teachers of the same level is scheduled, the Academy reserves the right to merge the two courses.
